G & J Excavating is the excavation contractor on the pool project, not the pool builder. We dig the pool to the shape, depths and tolerances laid out by your pool company or designer, get the spoils off the property, and leave the surrounding area rough graded so the pool crew can move straight into steel and shotcrete.

- Spoils removal and haul-off. A typical residential pool produces a large volume of dirt; we load and haul it rather than leaving it on the lot.
- Rough grading around the excavation so the deck and landscape crews have a workable surface.
- Site preparation before pool construction including clearing the pool area and removing existing hardscape.
What the pool builder needs from the excavator
Pool shells are built against the excavated earth, so an over-dig costs the builder shotcrete and an under-dig costs them time. We dig to the layout, hold the benches and steps where they are marked, and coordinate with the pool superintendent on the day of the dig.
